El Hogar Orphanage
The El Hogar Ministry
El Hogar is a home in Tijuana Mexico for children who have been neglected, abused and abandoned. The orphanage houses 50 to 75 kids at any given time. Their ages range from infants to college students. As long as the children are in school, they can stay at the orphanage. Most of the college age students have lived at El Hogar most of their lives and have paved their way to a bright and encouraging future.
The Friends of El Hogar is a team of volunteers from the St. Monica Parish Community dedicated to providing quality futures for these special children. They raise funds through bake sales and special events, organize donation drives and provide support to the staff at El Hogar. Four times during the year (January, April, July and October), the volunteers organize day trips to visit the children.
El Hogar relies on private and church support, mostly from the United States. El Hogar is changing the lives of the children who live there, is influencing the lives of the guests who visit, and transforming the lives of neighboring families.
We invite you to join us on one of the quarterly trips and to consider making a donation or a tribute donation in honor of a birthday, celebration, holiday gift or in memory of a loved one.
For more information about quarterly trips or ways that you can help, please e-mail or call Cecilia Paola, El Hogar Team Leader, at (310) 452-6909.
