Turning Point Shelter

Help St. Monica Parish Community prepare and serve a meal to the residents of the Turning Point Transitional Shelter for the Homeless, on the third Sunday evening of the month. Volunteers are needed to help shop, contribute, and help prepare and serve the meal.

Turning Point is a program of Ocean Park Community Center that provides housing and support for the homeless.  Turning Point's priority is to assist the homeless in securing employment, achieving financial stability, and finding a place to live.  While they are aided in part by the city of Santa Monica, LA County, and state and federal programs, a major portion of their funding comes from private donations and support from local churches and organizations.
