HIV-AIDS Ministry

Since the beginning of the AIDS pandemic St. Monica Catholic Community has responded to the needs of those challenged by HIV-AIDS and coordinated programs to bring awareness and education on the subject.

St. Monica Catholic Community over the years has provided spiritual and emotional support to individuals, families and their caregivers challenged by HIV AIDS as well as coordinated programs, fundraisers, and worship and liturgy experiences.

Join the St. Monica 2010 AIDS Walk Team Sunday, October 17th

The annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2010. The walk benefits AIDS Project Los Angeles and other L.A. County AIDS service organizations. You can join fellow St. Monica walkers by registering to walk. Please go to http://www.aidswalk.net/losangeles/ to register. Enter team 1667 (St. Monica Catholic Community) when prompted. We also welcome your donations. If you would like to donate or have any questions, please contact Wayne Zahner at (818) 998-3328 or by email. Last year’s St. Monica team of six walkers raised over $15,000. We are currently at $5,880. Please help us to break our record!!!

World AIDS Day Taize Service Wednesday, December 1st 6pm St. Monica Catholic Church

Join us at at Taize service to observe World AIDS Day. We will be remembering those who have died from HIV-AIDS and supporting those challenged with HIV-AIDS. Following the service we will have a reception in the Duval Center with light refreshments. Please contact Delis G. Alejandro, Pastoral Associate for more information.
