SMCHS Alumni Homepage

Welcome to the St. Monica Catholic High School Alumni Homepage!

With more than 10,000 alumni and beginning our 75th year celebration, St. Monica Catholic High School prides itself on the successes of our alumni. St. Monica has produced leaders in faith, education, business, law, medicine, civil service, and many other professions and ministries. Alumni continue to support St. Monica in countless ways such as attending special events, making charitable gifts, and sending their children to our school.

Just because you've graduated doesn't mean you've left! You are always welcome at St. Monica, whether it is virtually or in person! To stay updated on what is happening with alumni, students and the Mariner community, please explore our website. Over the next months, we will be adding many new and exciting features that we look forward to sharing with you.

Please feel welcome to contact me if you have questions or ideas about the Alumni Program – I would love to hear from you!

Harris Directory Project

The 75th Anniversary Alumni Directory Project was mailed in early March, 2013 to all Mariners who purchased the book as part of the alumni updating process.  We thank all alumni who updated their information as part of this project.  Updated information allows greater contact between SMCHS and our alumni.  If you did not update your information, feel free to email the Alumni Office with your current contact information at alumni@stmonicahs.net.

A reminder that if you chose to accept the 3 month magazine subscription that was offered during your order, your credit card will now be charged for the continued subscription.  To discontinue the subscription, contact 877-813-4977 and press "0" to speak to an operator.   This service was offered through Harris Publishing and in no way benefited SMCHS.

If you have any questions about this process, please don't hesitate to contact the Alumni Office at (310) 394-3701 x1302.

Young Alum Casino Night

Young Alum Casino Night will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012 on the Mariner campus.  Last year, Mariners from the 90's and 00's enjoyed a night of great food, fun, and festivities.   Join us this year!  See the registration form on the Alumni Association Page!

Homecoming 2012

A special thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2012 Homecoming festivities.  We were joined by alumni at the Homecoming Mass on September 26th, at the Pep Rally on September 28th, and at our victorious Homecoming football game on September 28th!   Cantwell Auditorium was full of alumni at our Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction on September 29th.  Over 180 people were on hand to honor Sr. Michaeline Mary Falvey, SNJM - SMCHS principal from 1965 - 1976; George Centeno '71; Frank Cruz  '77; and Norm Lacy, 1998 CIF Championship Football Coach.  Many of our alumni were also on hand at the Mariner Golf Classic on October 1st.  All in all, a great week to celebrate the Green and Gold!!

2012 Welcome Dinner

The St. Monica Catholic High School gymasium was full of green and gold on Monday, August 13, 2012.   In addition to the freshmen, who were officially joining the school as the Class of 2016, Mariner alumni from the past were back on campus to welcome the newest Mariners and their families. The Welcome Dinner was a great opportunity for Mariners past and present to visit and share Mariner spirit.

Following a busy day of events that also included orientation, school tours and a welcome mass shared with their parents, the newest Mariners and their families enjoyed a wonderful evening in the newly renovated Mariner gymnasium. Mariner alumni served the students and their parents. Associated Student Body officers and members of the St. Monica faculty were also on hand to welcome the newest members of the Mariner family.

On Campus Reunions

The St. Monica campus has been the location of many class reunions in 2012.  The classes of 1962, 1972, 1977, and 1981, all celebrated reunions in Cantwell Auditorium or the Trepp Center this year.  Please let us know if your class is interested in holding their reunion on campus in the upcoming year.
