What is S.M.A.S.H.?
Each year, St. Monica Catholic Community holds the St. Monica Academic and Spiritual Heritage (S.M.A.S.H.) Dinner and Auction which provides funds for student scholarships to the elementary and high schools in addition to much needed funding for specific school initiatives. Now in it's 19th year, S.M.A.S.H. has become a great way for members of the parish, high school, and elementary school communities to join together to achieve a brighter future for the students at both St. Monica schools.
What can I do to help?
We are very grateful to all who assist with S.M.A.S.H. each year either through the donation of cash, goods, and/or services, or through the volunteer efforts leading up to the event.
A number of opportunities are available for volunteers with varying degrees of involvement. Help is needed with gift gathering parties held in the weeks and months leading up to the event, the procurement of live and silent auction items, the $10,000 raffle, as well as Night-of-Event responsibilities. Planning for the event typically begins in late fall.
