New to St. Monica

All are welcome at St. Monica Catholic Community - whether you attend Mass weekly, or you are from another parish or faith tradition, or you have been away from the Catholic Church for a while, or you are interested in becoming Catholic. All are welcome here. Come and worship with us!

Volunteer Opportunities

One of the easiest ways to get involved is to volunteer in one of our many ministries. And you don't have to have experience. We will train you when necessary. Our volunteer opportunities range from getting hands-on experience with state of the art sound and video equipment, to helping serve meals to residents of transitional shelters for the homeless, to providing one-to-one pastoral care for individuals experience a wide range of life's stressors (requires extensive training) to welcoming parishioners at the door. We encourage you to get involved and find your ministry fit at St. Monica!

Care & Help

As a community of faith, we are called to care for one another in times of difficulty and crisis. In response to that call, St. Monica Catholic Community offers several Pastoral Care ministries whose purpose is to support fellow parishioners during stressful periods in their lives. Some examples of these ministries include:

• Bereavement Ministry provides support regarding the loss of a loved one,
• Helping Hand Referral Line provides information about social service and government organizations.
• HIV-AIDS Ministry, St. Jude Auto-Immune Ministry encourages and coordinates solidarity with people struggling with illness.
• Hope at the Door provides limited financial assistance and agency referrals.
• Eucharistic Ministry to the Sick provides communion for the sick.
• Phoenix Ministry proves support for people going through a separation or divorce
• Stephen Ministry provides peer support
