Senior Adult Ministry

The"Always Beginning" Senior Adult Ministry provides an opportunity for older adults (both men and women) to meet their spiritual and social needs in a friendly environment with their peers from October through June of each year through the following activities:

FRIDAY LUNCHEONS

Our luncheons include a nourishing meal  and follow 12:10 Mass. The meal is served by St. Monica Elementary School sixth grade students. Education programs for senior adults on a variety of topics follow each luncheon. Registration for attendance at these meals is due on the Wednesday prior to the Luncheon. Interested in Volunteering? We always need volunteers to help our members park safely when arriving and exiting and prepare and serve the meal. They also assist with clean up. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Marcus Johnson by email or calling (310) 566-1532.

RETREATS

We sponsor half-day retreats throughout the year that conclude with the 12:10 p.m. Mass and a luncheon. Reservations are required. Check back for future dates.

SPONSORED MATINEE OF HIGH SCHOOL PLAY

Twice a year (November and April), members of the ministry are invited to attend a Saturday Matinée performance presented by our St. Monica High School’s Performing Arts. Tickets are free for members of the Senior Adult Ministry, but reservations are required.
