What's your image of God?

How do you “see” or think of God? Creator, Judge, Loving Parent, Suffering Servant, Higher Power, Never-ending Source of Love? Each of us has our own personal image of God, which inevitably affects our relationships with God, ourselves, and others—especially in our personal and professional lives!

Join us for a weekend urban retreat as we delve more deeply into our understandings of God and how they impact our lives. St. Monica TTF (Thirty-Five Through Forties) Ministry invites all singles and couples ages 35-49 for a weekend of faith and fellowship that focuses on (1) our current images of God, (2) their influence on our relationships, work, and free time, (3) alternative images of God that can expand our understandings of the Divine and strengthen our faith, and (4) ways that these images can empower us to live our lives going forward.  Activities throughout the weekend will include individual and group prayer, silent reflection, small group discussions, interactive exercises, and fellowship.  

The retreat will be facilitated by Douglas Leal, M.A., Coordinator of Adult Faith Formation and Young Adult Ministry for the Office of Religious Education of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.  This urban retreat will be held in the Spirituality Center here at St. Monica (725 California Ave., 90403).  (An urban retreat is not an overnight retreat; rather we meet at St. Monica each day, but get to sleep in our own beds each night!)

Schedule:
Friday, April 27: 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 28: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Sunday, April 29: 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
