JustFaith is an intensive and successful model of justice education and spiritual formation that consists of weekly small group meetings and employs books, videos, speakers, discussion, prayer, retreats, and hands-on experiences. The intent is to provide a tapestry of learning opportunities that emphasize and enliven the remarkable justice tradition of the Catholic Church. Participants have the privilege of becoming a community with others and sharing a journey of faith and compassion that is both life-giving and challenging. Together the small group explores the Gospel call to compassion and justice.

St. Monica Catholic Community has hosted over an 18-year period over 30 JustFaith programs.

Just Faith Sacred Land: Food and Farming

Caruso A/B

In-person and Zoom

Mondays, Feb. 2 through Mar. 23

6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Hosted by the St. Monica Green Team, this JustFaith program invites participants to explore our deep connection with the land and our shared responsibility to care for it.

In small groups, participants learn how food and farming practices impact the climate crisis, marginalized communities, and their own health and spiritual wellbeing. Together, they discover practical ways to support, advocate for, and implement sustainable practices in everyday settings—whether at work, in congregations, apartment complexes, or neighborhoods.

Each participant develops a personal plan of action, such as starting a composting program with neighbors, building a community garden, or advocating for policies that promote sustainable food and farming.

Join us in cultivating justice, resilience, and hope—one seed, one meal, one community at a time.
