All Who Wander are not all lost for we walk by faith and not by sight (2 Cor 5:7)
In all the good and bad that can come with navigating the challenges and uncertainty of our lives - the curiosity, excitement, anxiety, loneliness, heaviness... - we may feel like we're constantly, continually wandering. All young adults in their 20’s and 30’s are invited to join us in a special place Serra Retreat Center in Malibu, May 1-3, as we open our hearts and minds to wandering alongside God and Jesus. The weekend will offer a greater understanding of self and connection with others as well as guide retreatants to self-discovery, direction, and light.
What is a Retreat?
A retreat is an opportunity (often multiple days long and overnight) to remove yourself from daily life to spend time with Jesus. While it’s also a great opportunity to meet new people and connect with others, it’s primarily a chance to deepen your faith by spending time in the beautiful world God created and making space and silence for Him to speak. Jesus himself retreated many times and religious retreats are a chance for us to walk in his footsteps in this way. In short, a retreat is giving yourself the opportunity to have an encounter with Christ. The retreat weekend includes opportunities for fellowship, small and large group discussion, mass, communal reconciliation, the rosary, and Eucharistic Adoration.
Other Retreat Details
This is an overnight retreat for young adults in their 20s and 30s, so retreatants should plan to come to Serra Retreat Center in Malibu, CA (serraretreat.com) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1st, and be there until we conclude at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 3rd. Retreatants are expected to join us for the whole weekend.
